Role Description An experienced medical assistant is needed Full-time for an Internal Medicine office in Pasadena. Job Duties include but are not limited to: Answering phones Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word. Scheduling and confirming appointments. Checking in and checking out patients Verifying insurance information/coverage and collecting fees from the patient Preparation of charts for the next business day Basic back-office skills, including taking vital signs, phlebotomy, administration of injections, EKG, Pulmonary Function Tests, etc. Training will be provided. Other duties might be assigned. Current MA certification and CPR certification Qualifications Either at least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or a quick learner Knowledge and experience in Medical Assisting and providing hands-on support during patient care Proficiency in understanding and applying Medical Terminology Experience in Medical Office operations and administration Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Team player. Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is preferred
