to our innovative research development for our next-generation
service robotic product.
What You Will Be Doing
Work as a key technical member and technical leader of mechanical
design in the Hardware and Design team. Identify the requirements
of hardware and mechanical components for our current and new robot
products with the local and global business, product, and RD teams.
Convert the requirements into mechanical designs, prototypes, and
products. As the owner of mechanical design, work with our
collaborators, partners, vendors, and other team members, propose
solutions, and be responsible for designing and prototyping the
mechanical components of the robotic system, especially the mobile
bases, manipulators and end-effectors with necessary sensors. Debug
and test the overall system. Execute hands-on work and conduct
innovative research to solve problems in practical applications.
Track the state-of-the-art technology and conduct frontier RD.
Actively attend international conferences and forums, present our
work, publish research articles, and file patents applications.
What You Need for this Position
Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering and related fields with
experience in designing robotic mechanical components. Ph.D.
preferred. Proficient in one or several major mechanical design
software, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, ProE, UG, etc. Lead and
manage system integration and testing of overall robotic mechanical
systems. Trackable research work with strong publications in the
area of robotic mechanical system design. Excellent communication
and teamwork skills. Self-motivated and passionate about the
robotics. Preferred Qualifications: 5 or more years of industrial
experience in successfully creating real robotic systems. In-depth
expertise with technical fields relevant to robot hardware design
with both system-level thinking and component-level development.
Familiar with building embedded robotic platforms and implementing
hardware related embedded software to test mechanical
