on maximizing the commonality and reusability across components for
fast deployment and optimization. Our robotic systems combine
sensor information, cutting edge classical/machine learning (ML)
algorithms and a robotics real-time system platform for control,
decision making and execution.We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior SLAM Engineer with expertise in Perception and Mapping to
join our team. As a member of the Perception team, you will be
responsible for leading the design and implementation of
state-of-the-art algorithms for SLAM in mobile robotics
applications. You will work closely with other engineers to create
robust and reliable modules that will deliver the best performance
in real-world environments.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement SLAM algorithms for mobile robotics
applications in both GPS enabled, and GPS denied environments.
- Develop and maintain robust sensor calibration routines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the
software stack with the real robot system.
- Develop simulation and real-world test environments to verify
successful, safe, and reliable operation of the SLAM modules.
- Continuously stay up-to-date with the latest research and
developments in SLAM and Perception and Mapping.To hit the ground
running, you need:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,
Robotics or related field.
- At least 3 years of work experience in developing and
implementing state-of-the-art algorithms for SLAM in mobile
robotics applications.
- Solid background in one or more SLAM related areas such as
visual and / or LiDAR SLAM, semantic SLAM, and VIO.
- Experience developing state estimation algorithms fusing
information from cameras, IMUs, GPS and other sensors.
- Proficient in Python, C++, ROS, ROS 2 (optional).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability
to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex
technical information to both technical and non-technical

Compensation:
- $150,000 - $240,000/annual salary + stock awards + benefitsOur
