Our robotic systems combine sensor information, cutting edge classical/machine learning (ML) algorithms and a robotics real-time system platform for control, decision making and execution.For more details on our AI approach and philosophy please see .The Machine Learning and Robotics Research Engineer will have the opportunity to conduct research and development for our internal application of ML and/or RL to physical robotic platforms and develop end-to-end solutions to problems in the domain of multi-robot systems (MRS). The qualified candidate will have a solid understanding of classical AI techniques in task planning, scheduling, behavior, path planning and will also be familiar with the modern techniques that are a result of the advances in the field of ML/RL. Most of these tasks will involve working with real physical robots, so experience and willingness to work with hardware and electronics is a plus.To hit the ground running, you need:

• MSc or higher in computer science/computer engineering/or similar engineering fields
• Theoretical base and practical experience with modern RL algorithms
• Understanding of MRS in general and experience with implementing multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) algorithms
• Theoretical and practical experience in Deep Learning (DL) and a good understanding of classical AI/ML concepts on planning, decision-making, and behaviors for autonomous agents.
• Good Python programming skills, experience with DL frameworks such as TensorFlow / PyTorch, Keras
• Familiarity with (or ability to quickly learn) ROS. ROS 2 and Gazebo
• Nothing-is-impossible attitude
