Job Description Job Description Move Forward with Volt! Volt is immediately hiring for a CNC Machinist for 2nd shift in Gardena, CA. As a CNC Machinist, you will: Perform complete, independent machining operations using Gear Grinders (ID & OD), Gear Cutting (Shapers), Shaving (Hobbing), and CNC machines. Interpret drawings, sketches, and engineering documents. Machine parts requiring exacting tolerances and precision. Select cutting tools, determine holding/aligning methods, and set up tooling. Adapt or improvise tooling and attachments as needed. Plan setups to maximize machine capacity and minimize multiple operations. Use precision measuring tools to verify conformance to specifications. Apply shop mathematics and perform bench operations. Identify improper machine function, make adjustments, and communicate discrepancies. Replenish coolant, change filters, and lubricate machinery as required. This is a full-time opportunity. Schedule: Monday - Friday - 2pm to 10:30pm The ideal candidate will have: High school diploma required. 2–5 years of machining experience , preferably with grinding and deburring. Familiarity with standard concepts, tools, and machining procedures. Ability to preset/sharpen cutting tools. Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
