Photonics Design Automation Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Photonics Design Automation Engineer to
take responsibility for the development and implementation of our
PDK platform. This will include and is not limited to: component
and process/project specific module libraries, Iplib and
verification decks including DRC and LVS. The Photonics Design
Automation Engineer will develop and maintain proprietary Photonics
PDK for full design flow, schematic entry, simulation, layout, DRC
LVS, PEX, LVL and Tapeout.This position is located in the greater
L.A. area, and we are committed to finding the best and brightest

What You Will Be Doing
- Develops and maintains PDK platform with symbols, building blocks
and technology files;- Creates scripts that perform complex
functions;- Apply formal release and version control to PDKs that
are released;- Have a working knowledge of design best practices
(schematics, basic block concept and layout);- Understands,
interprets and accurately translates design rules and other
documentation into a PDK environment;- Works closely with process,
design/device and layout engineers to deliver highest quality
Photonics PDKs to achieve first mask success;- Develops functional
verification capabilities;- Competencies for Role: Positive

What You Need for this Position
- M.S./B.S. in EE or Computer Engineering- 5 years plus experience
in EDA and/ or IC design environments- Experience with design
software such as Phoenix OptoDesigner/OptSim Circuit and physical
verification tools- Proficient with scripting and programming
languages such as C++ or Matlab- Experience with modeling &
characterization- Experience working with PDK environments
