Job Description:

Responsible for the development, planning, coordination and administration of a systematic program designed to reduce risk and injury. Also responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring of a quality review program. Identifies and assesses quality management problems and refers to staff for action. Serves as a resource to medical staff and facility committees regarding quality and risk issues Ensures the provision of in-service education to parties involved in quality assurance, familiarizing them with TJC standards, its interpretation, methods of data collection display and statistical analysis. Monitors compliance with TJC and other regulatory standards. Directs the collection measurement and presentation of data required for monitoring quality indicators. The Director of Risk/ Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement develops, manages and integrates a comprehensive Risk Management, Performance Improvement (PI) Program and Quality initiatives to achieve best practice results in risk mitigation, quality, efficiency, patient and staff safety, patient and staff satisfaction and value with transparency. The Managerial oversight and responsibility includes providing leadership to develop and share best practices for improving scorecards for all Service Lines with defined expected outcomes & National benchmark achievement based on best practices Responsible for coordinating and managing hospital wide performance improvement activities including continued survey readiness. Responsible for oversight of ongoing publicly reported quality initiatives undertaken by the organization, like Core Measures, Patient Satisfaction, etc. Works collaboratively with Leadership team to ensure execution of plans and provides education for reporting requirements and accountability. Bachelor's degree a related field required, Masters degree in related field or RN license preferred. Minimum of 3 years experience. Specific experience and knowledge in the areas of risk management, quality management and performance improvement. Knowledge of psychiatric service delivery system and treatment methods, with specific knowledge and skills in areas of risk management, quality management and performance improvement; strong oral and written communication skills current knowledge of continuous quality Improvement methodology; organization and time management skills; skills in data collection, analysis, evaluation and interpretation; knowledge of applicable standards and regulations; problem solving skills, teaching/training skills.
