This new COVID testing organization is actively interviewing for a CLS Laboratory Manager to oversee its Los Angeles Operations team. This will be an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in the community and work on the cutting-edge of the growing testing industry. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the CLS Lab Operations Manager will interface with many direct and indirect stakeholders in the day-to-day operations of this extremely busy CLIA and FDA Approved Laboratory. Working collaboratively with Medical personnel such as Medical Directors, Physicians, Laboratory Quality Coordinators, the Laboratory Manager will act as the point of contact for multiple service centers. A great aptitude for building and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships will be very important for someone in this role to succeed. Directly supported by--2 Technical Supervisors, the Laboratory Operations Manager will oversee nearly 30+ employees in this self-contained COVID Wet Laboratory. Both technological and humanistic skills will be very valuable in this role. Keeping abreast of technological improvements and ground-breaking research will help you implement evidence-based practices. Along with this, knowledge of advanced systems management, data management, and financial techniques will also prove quite beneficial. A team-based approach to this large, diverse laboratory staff is crucial for guaranteeing continued buy-in, trust, and efficiency from each member. The CLS Laboratory Manager will lead staff in establishing and managing safe working operations in this Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) facility. This person will establish and manage all pre-analytic workflow processes to maintain orderly data entry, specimen collection, and processing techniques. You'll also oversee technical execution of a wide array of tests, including RTqPCR, DNA/RNA, and qPCR Living and working in the Los Angeles Area of Southern California, the CLS Laboratory Manager will discover there's something great for everyone.
