Job Description:
Job Description For over 86 years, we have worked to create
trusting relationships with our fire family. The bonds we build are
the foundation of our credit union. As the largest, exclusive
firefighter credit union in the nation with $2.0B in assets, we
serve over fifty-five thousand members in more than seven hundred
fire departments. Currently, we have an immediately opening for a
Facilities Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be
based in/around Pasadena (CA), Nashville (TN), or Dallas/Fort Worth
(TX). Typical Responsibilities: Managing facilities expansion or
remodel projects which includes coordinating and communicating with
the appropriate vendors, contractors, agencies, and stakeholders.
This includes securing and obtaining approval of bids that meet the
required scope of construction; including building design, and
appropriate zoning and permitting. Coordinating and negotiating new
and existing leases. This includes working with legal, brokers, and
internal stakeholders as necessary to facilitate improvements,
access, cost negotiations, and disruptions of service. Coordinating
with key stakeholders, including FFCU staff and vendors to secure,
ship, or destroy sensitive documentation per FFCU Records Retention
Policy while minimizing physical documents at FFCU facilities.
Researching and recommending efficiencies in building operations
and vendors. This includes reviewing and negotiating vendor
contracts and proposals/ bids as well as effective vendor
management. Managing the company fleet of vehicles to meet
organizational needs which includes procurement, conducting regular
fleet inspections, ensuring routine maintenance of fleet, making
recommendations to management to replace vehicles as necessary, and
ensuring only authorized employees have access to drive vehicles.
Leading the purchasing, daily upkeep, safety, security, and
maintenance of all locations. Coordinating with facilities staff,
security, Risk Management and credit union personnel on secure open
and close procedures of all branch locations. Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor---s degree in Business Administration,
Facilities Technology, Facilities Management, Facilities
Maintenance, or a related field. Experience with commercial
property management. Experience with commercial or corporate
facilities maintenance. Experience coordinating and managing
vendors and contractors for commercial work. Experience supervising
or managing employees. Firefighters First Federal Credit Union is
