Regional Lending Director (LO) in Wealth and Investment Management.

- Participate in building product awareness and educating
financial advisory and their teams so they can serve their clients'
lending and banking needs
- Contribute to large scale planning related to functional area
deliverables while maintaining a deep understanding of lending and
banking products and services.
- Support field leadership, Financial Advisors, and their teams
through analysis and advice. Provides product knowledge across all
segments to understand the needs of the clients, potential
solutions and determines the partners that should be engaged. Works
collaboratively across WFA and WFC to deepen client relationships
through lending and banking solutions within assigned markets.
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational challenges
that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
- Provide product knowledge across all segments to understand the
needs of the clients, potential solutions, and determine the
partners that should be engaged
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet
functional area deliverables while leveraging solid understanding
of the functional area, policies, procedures, and compliance
requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid level
managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a mentor for less experienced
staff
- This LO position has customer contact and job duties which may
include needs assessing and referring those customers interested in
a dwelling secured product to a SAFE team member. This position
includes assisting customers without taking an application and
without offering or negotiating terms of a dwelling secured
transaction > Individuals in a LO position also must meet the
Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO) outlined in
the job expectations belowRequired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Business Development, Financial Services Consulting
experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination
of the following: work experience, training, military experience,
educationDesired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of brokerage industry experience
- 5+ years of financial services experience
- 2+ years of business development experience
- FINRA registration including Series 63 (or FINRA recognized
equivalents)
- FINRA registration including Series 7 (or FINRA recognized
equivalents)
- Ability to build and deliver innovative, industry leading
solutions
- Customer service focus with the ability to listen to customer
needs and recommend solutions
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
skills
- Knowledge and understanding of business banking: products and
services
- Knowledge and understanding of financial services consumer
lending products
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and
accuracy
- Strong relationship management skills
- Experience partnering with full-service financial advisors and
branch managers on alternative products and service solutions Job
Expectations:
- Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry
Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing
employment in this position. FINRA Series 7 and 63 (or 66)
examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or
180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending
upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available
to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be
accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance.
Registration for FINRA Series 65 or 66 must be completed prior to
conducting Investment Advisory business. Compliance with state law
registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition
to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product
licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements
include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background
standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review
process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA
qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities
Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required
- Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and
comply with related Wells Fargo policies. The LO qualification
requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility,
character, general financial fitness and criminal background
standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your
financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit
score is not included as part of the evaluation. Successful
candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including
additional screening, if necessary
