Job Description:
OverviewThe portfolio analyst will play an important role in
managing assets in development, construction, and stabilized phase
within CLI's equity investments portfolio. This position will
include exposure to a variety of equity investments transactions
(LIHTC, Preservation, SBIC, CDFIs and other Public Welfare
Investments). The individual in this role has an opportunity for
significant growth and advancement. This position will be
responsible for the oversight of equity investments and conducting
market analyses, prepares summary and supporting information for
quarterly reviews and offers opinions concerning impact on the
community. Applies problem solving skills and uses creativity to
turn challenges into viable transactions. Fosters the development
of relationships with lead generators to enhance the quality and
quantity of applications. Responsibilities
- Maintain a detailed working knowledge of each project within
the assigned portfolio.
- Oversee and monitor achievement of benchmarks such as
construction completion, qualified occupancy, stabilization, and
permanent loan conversion of affordable housing projects in LIHTC
and Preservation Funds from close through receipt of executed 8609s
or final release of equity.
- Oversee and monitor performance of underlying assets in CDFIs
and SBICs.
- Collect, review, and provide reporting on monthly, quarterly,
and annual financial information for both upper tier Funds and the
lower tier partnerships/assets.
- Analyze partnership benchmarks and financial statements and
perform risk rating analysis
- Special projects and reporting as requested.The base pay for
this position is relative to your experience but the range is
generally$80,000 to $90,000 per year. This position is eligible for
variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive,

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting, finance, real
estate, property management or business is preferred. A minimum two
years of experience working with Section 42 (low income, tax
credit) projects in the area of asset management, public
accounting, multi-family property management or development
desired.Preferred
- A working understanding of compliance & limited partnership
agreements and the ability to identify & verbalize issues with the
syndicator partners is strongly preferred.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with a heavy
emphasis on Excel and Word.
- Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the
ability to comfortably interact with senior management internally
and a large external client base.
- Must possess and be able to demonstrate effectiveness with each

- A valid driver's license is required for limited travel of up
to 5% with potential for some overnight.
