** Internal Workers - Please log into your Workday account to apply **Compensation Range:$195,666.00 - $244,117.00 / YearDepartment:750100 HematologyExpectations:The Director supports the Hospital enterprise by providing leadership and direction to staff in all sections of the clinical laboratory. The Director is responsible for ensuring the achievement of performance targets and strategic initiatives by setting and meeting operational goals that are consistent with the mission, vision and values of the organization. This position oversees the administrative and operational areas of the clinical laboratory to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. The Director will direct the activities of the laboratory to meet the growth and financial goals of the organization and will coordinate departmental activities to support the hospital's strategic plans. The Director will actively participate in various hospital committees representing the needs of the laboratory. This position requires flexibility of hours.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in related field is required.Master's degree preferred.EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:Knowledge in all areas of the laboratory.A minimum of five years' experience is required in a supervisory capacity.A current knowledge of laboratory regulation and procedure writing is required and experience in preparation for a CAP, TJC, or CLIA inspection is preferred.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:Required:Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) issued by California Department of Public Health (CDPH)Preferred:Current Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS (ASCP) issued by American Society for Clinical PathologySKILLS:Strong leadership skills, well developed communication and organization capability.Worker Type:RegularFull timeShift:Days
