(PGS) division of Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector pushes the

operations and support. We are seeking a System Engineering Manager
2 to join our talented team in Redondo Beach, CA. You will support
the Software Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead for the Payload
Software (PLSW) as a Technical Lead and intercompany PGSD Project
Manager - leading and managing a team responsible for Systems
Engineering, Software Development, Integration and Test, and
Verification of the Resource Controller (RC/XDR) payload software.
- This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer
funding. This position will focus on project management along with
technical duties including product management tasking for project
reporting, cost and schedule tracking, and assessment and
mitigation of project risks; system engineering for resource
controller software requirements analysis, decomposition, and
allocation from system-level requirements down to lower-level
requirements; software requirement specification development;
preparing content for delta-PDR and CDR; document software design
in model; software requirements mapping and analysis; and liaising
with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, and
specialty engineers to ensure requirements are defined
holistically, completely, and unambiguously for an integrated
systems. Basic Qualifications:
- Systems Engineering Manager 2: 9 Years of relevant experience
with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years of relevant experience with
Masters
- Active DoD Secret clearance required at the time of application
with the ability to acquire DoD Top Secret
- Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and
processes
- Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at
cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead,
integrated program team or cost account manager
- Full understanding and significant experiences with full
software life cycle (requirement, design, code, test, integration),
SW builds, programming standards and practices
- Demonstrated success aligning teams, organizations, or employee
resource groups to achieve a common goal
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Cost Account Management (CAM) experience
- Experience with front end of SE "vee" requirements analysis and
decomposition and generation of requirement specifications
- Experience with requirements verification and qualification
testing
- Ability to collaborate and contribute to technical discussions
with fellow team members, cross-organizational teams, and
management
- Experience with developing software requirements
specifications, this includes deriving software requirements from
parent specification (functional and performance requirements)
- Experience generating requirements traceability matrix
- Experience using DOORS or equivalent requirements management
database
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages
(SysML/UML) and concepts
- Embedded systems software development, integration, and test
experience
- Familiar with processing payloads and/or Military communication
satellitesPreferred Qualifications:
- The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of
business and financial concepts, tools, and processes to the
benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance
- The ability to manage communications with stakeholders through
organized processes to ensure that program information is defined,
collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner
that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs
- The ability to identify and address program impacts through a
systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution
that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves
conflicts across all levels of the program
- Experience with Agile and DevOps
- Familiar with SIMICS and VxWorks 7.0
- Programming Languages: C/C++, Python
- Experience with CAMEO
- Experience working with Software and Hardware teams
- Familiarity with Extended Data Rate (XDR) access control
protocolsSalary Range: $156,500 - $234,700The above salary range
represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers
a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the
scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market
conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for
overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays
