Vice President - Business Development for APD Water/Wastewater Practic We are seeking an Infrastructure Business Development Manager to lead and direct our water and wastewater pursuits throughout North America, with a focus on California. The preferred location is in our Pasadena, CA office, but we will consider candidates living in other large metropolitan areas. However, the successful candidate will travel extensively within North America to cultivate new and ongoing business development endeavors with our Federal, State and municipal infrastructure clients and partners. You will have responsibility nationally, to cultivate our water/wastewater business as well as manage current and future pursuits.Our ideal candidate will have a successful sales track record within the water and wastewater markets on multi-million dollar pursuits. If selected, you will market and promote Parsons' world class infrastructure expertise; develop and build on key client and industry relationships; and manage complex win strategies and proposal efforts that primarily entail Alternative Project Delivery methods. You will be integral to developing pricing structures, and negotiating contract terms and conditions, and nondisclosure and joint venture agreements.This role reports to our Infrastructure Sr. VP of Alternative Project Delivery - Business Development and you may manage Development Coordinators/Specialists and Capture Managers. We expect you to interact with our industry partners, technical specialists, operations/project managers, and senior management to build relationships and strong teams that meet our clients' objectives and deliverable requirements. You will be responsible for keeping abreast and informing our management of water and wastewater business news/trends and opportunities.For this role, it is vital to maintain key industry and client contacts, and potentially conduct market research, to help leverage our services into a robust sales pipeline. Keys to your success will be your exceptional ability to represent Parsons professionally and develop client relationships that result in large transportation project awards - thus strong presentation, written, and oral communication skills are essential. Requirements 20+ years of water and wastewater development experience with significant involvement in Alternative Project Delivery proposals/pursuits Previous positions within business development role, and preferably with a large, multi-national firm Successful track record of cultivating new and ongoing business development endeavors Experience in leading win strategies and proposal efforts Thorough understanding of pricing and contract terms, as well as negotiation experience with potential clients and partners Bachelors degree in Engineering or Business Experience/knowledge with California Water/Wastewater market is essentialAssociated topics: b2b, b2c, business growth, business management, channel partner, customer, franchise owner, franchise operator, inside sales, mba
