Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, performs all assigned tasks and services related to medication distribution in an accurate, timely and safe manner.

• Maintains current California Pharmacy Technician Registration.

  Education:
  
  • 
    
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalency required.
    
  • Diploma or transcripts on highest degree earned required.
    
    Experience/Training:
    
    • 
      
    • Minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
      
      Licenses/Certifications:
      
      • 
        
      • Current Registered Pharmacy Technician License issued by California State Board of Pharmacy required.
        
      • CPhT issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred.
        
        Skills:
        
        • 
          
        • Aseptic Technique.
          
        • Chemotherapy Compounding Certification.
          
        • Competency in specialized equipment (Automated Dispensing and Cadet Unit Dosing Machines).
          
        • Knowledge of Pharmacy Laws and Regulations.
          
          Compensation Range:
          Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $31.31 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
