Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with charge and specialized ICU experience for a night shift contract requiring a current CA license and critical certifications. Responsibilities - Work in the ICU of an acute care hospital - Care for a diverse critical care patient population with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio - Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00 - May be required to float to tele units and between nearby affiliated hospitals - Uses Meditech for charting - Weekend shifts required as needed - Scrub color of choice is allowed - Must be willing to float between all facilities within the state as required - May be required to float between Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro and Torrance locations - Must commit to working at least 3 out of the 5 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day) - Pre-employment modules must be completed prior to start - Free parking is available on site - Returning employees may apply as travelers after a waiting period of 3 months Requirements - Active CA RN license must be in hand at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience required - Prior charge nurse experience is required - Experience beyond MICU required, with preference for Surgical, Trauma, Shock, or Neuro ICU - Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS - Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of ICU employment in the last 3 years are required - Cannot have permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility to qualify for travel rate - First-time travelers are accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622245.
