Job Description Job Description Salary: $33 - $40 per hour Lead Surgical Technologist SCARS Center and Reconstructive Surgery Center | Newport Beach, CA We are seeking an experienced Lead Surgical Technologist to join our team at the Reconstructive Surgery Center, a premier multi-specialty facility serving the greater Orange County area. Our center specializes in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, ENT surgery, and body cosmetic procedures. Our center is a home to top plastic surgeons in Orange County. This position offers a unique opportunity for career advancement, with potential to grow into the Surgery Center Manager role for the right candidate. Position Summary: The Lead Surgical Technologist leads the surgical tech team, assists in operative procedures, and ensures a safe and sterile environment. This individual supports pre- and post-operative functions, leads supply and equipment coordination, and contributes to surgery center scheduling. Key Responsibilities: Lead preparation of surgical suites, including pulling and setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment Assist in instrument processing: pre-cleaning, sterilization, and packaging verification Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures Ensure functionality of equipment and support surgical teams as needed Participate in patient care activities, including transfers and room turnover Support ordering, inventory management, staff scheduling, and accreditation compliance Uphold infection control standards and safety protocols Serve as a point person for surgical tech staff, helping train and guide newer team members Skills & Qualifications: Leadership and team coordination skills Strong time management and communication abilities Detailed knowledge of surgical procedures, human anatomy, and sterile techniques Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced surgical setting Ability to correlate clinical data with patient conditions Requirements: 35 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist (required) BLS Certification High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential Experience with ordering, supply chain oversight, accreditation, and staff scheduling Leadership experience in a surgical setting Interest in long-term growth, including potential to become Surgery Center Manager Compensation & Benefits: Competitive compensation based on experience Comprehensive medical benefits Supportive, team-oriented environment 401K
