The 9Dot Payroll Team is seeking a detail oriented individual who enjoys data management and payroll administration duties.

**Salary - $23hr - $30hr. - Depending on experience**

Under general supervision, the Payroll Coordinator is responsible for compiling payroll data to prepare, compute and maintain accurate payroll records, making adjustments as necessary, to ensure timely payment of wages or salaries to employees.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*

  • Prepare issues and distributes bi-monthly paychecks for all employees.
  • Compiles payroll data from timesheets and Personnel Action Notices to input worksheets and posts to payroll records.
  • Reviews wage computations, correcting errors and making necessary adjustments, to ensure accuracy of payroll.
  • Inputs new hire information and changes in existing employee information, status, location, rate of pay, taxes, insurance deductions or garnishments as needed to update master payroll records.
  • Reconciles and researches discrepancies in payroll reports, such as Personal Time Off accruals and retirement contributions, to maintain accurate balances.
  • Interfaces with accounting department to ensure proper budgetary allocation of payroll records for accurate cost accounting.
  • Reviews and prepares retirement contribution and benefits remittance statements, reconciled with payroll records, for payment by the appropriate Charter and accurate cost accounting.
  • Prepares and submits Worker's Compensation audit reports on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Prepares miscellaneous payroll-related correspondence, memos, spreadsheets, reports and forms as needed.
  • Assists with other functions and duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
    • Knowledge of all state and federal wage and hour laws and withholding requirements.
    • Ability to interpret and apply Company policies or provisions to payroll implementation (i.e. benefit eligibility).
    • Ability to communicate with co-workers and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
    • Strong organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to exercise reasonable judgment and maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
    • Proficient knowledge of MS Office (particularly, advanced level Excel).
    • Working knowledge of accounting principles.
    • Working knowledge of office equipment (i.e. 10-key). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
      • Accounting or education industry background.
      • Proficient knowledge of Paychex, ADP or equivalent payroll processing software.
      • Education and Experience:
      • High school diploma or its equivalent. College degree preferred.
      • Minimum of one year payroll processing experience.
