Our current effort to cloud modernize our applications provides great opportunities to significantly learn, grow, and contribute to your career and Western's success.As a senior software engineer you will be responsible for leading design, coding, implementation, quality control and the overall software development process across a variety of Sales, Marketing, Client Service, and Corporate applications. You will be expected to lead and contribute to the application portfolio that supports our Client Service, Sales, Marketing, Client Reporting as well as our Corporate functions in Human Resources and Finance. You will help the team accelerate delivery of critical features and functionality, while also making material contributions to technical modernization initiatives. What you will doDrive full stack software development efforts aimed at providing our Client Service, Sales, Marketing and Corporate teams with robust analysis, reporting, sales tools and workflow efficiency Advance and develop proprietary and vendor applications that support CRM, website, and marketing analytics Play a key role in architecting future sales and marketing applications Engineer applications based on cloud native principlesWork effectively with our infrastructure engineering teams to implement software solutions with high degrees of scalability and resiliency Execute and migrate existing workloads to cloud Collaborate with relationship managers, marketing managers, and senior management to align program focus and prioritization Mentor and grow team members across ITWhat you will bring7+ years of demonstrated experience in software development with leadership responsibilitiesDeep understanding of core AWS services, uses, and basic AWS architecture best practicesDemonstrated experience working with Python and C#Full stack capabilities: Angular front end preferred, APIs, and databasesExperience with JavaScript and Typescript is a plusExperience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub and CICD tools is a plus Experience with Oracle DB, or MS SQL, or Snowflake, or SingleStore, or DenodoExperience with public cloud implementation and servicesExperience in all aspects of application development lifecycleEagerness to learn about and work on any application in the team's portfolioPreferred domain knowledge of financial servicesVery strong communication and team work skills Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other related disciplineEnergy, enthusiasm, motivation, and a results-oriented attitudeAbout Western AssetAt Western Asset we're saying hello to the future.
