Job Experience/Skill Requirements
Individual should have excellent user interface / interpersonal / written and verbal communication skills.Must be well organized & competent managing projects.Extensive experience with and good understanding of IT security concepts for compute environments containing varied computer types and operating systems.Well versed in best practices for cyber security across heterogeneous IT environments.Performed duties of or have been an Information System Owner (ISO)Extensive experience and deep understanding of Linux operating systems, particularly Red Hat Enterprise,Experience networking and network trouble shooting,Practical Experience with cloud and cloud technologies preferredExperience using and deploying Multifactor authenticationExtensive Experience with on-prem infrastructure: compute, network, storage, database, etc.Extensive Experience with virtualization (VMWare and/or Oracle)Extensive Experience with Configuration Management Systems (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)Practical experience with diagnosing and resolving technical issuesAbility to automate routine tasks using Bash, Python, Java or other language in a proper SDLCExperience with Linux containers and container orchestrationExperience with Windows systems a plus.Experience with NFSExperience supporting and maintaining network storageEnjoys working with end users and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
The candidate will have the following responsibilities:--- Will operate in a team environment consisting of both internal and external members, co-workers and customer. Also, able to work independently when needed. --- Deploy and maintain physical and virtual servers--- Ensure optimal hardware and software operation--- Automate repetitive manual tasks with scripting (Bash, Python, etc.)
- Will pull reports from Splunk and look at vulnerability scan information.--- Resolve incidents quickly and identify root causes for long term fixes.
Develop and produce documentation regarding the IT environments you work on. Work with technical and cybersecurity staff to make IT systems compliant with JPL's and NASA's IT cyber security requirements.
