Volt is immediately hiring for a CMM Programmer in Irvine, Ca
As a CMM Programmer you will:
The purpose of the CMM Operator is to operate/program the Zeiss
CMM. This position will operate inspection programs through Calypso
software to measure in-process and final assemblies to GD&T
blue print requirements.
Runs multiple CMM's using CALYPSO software.
Tests and measures products, components or assemblies for
accuracy.
Cleans, maintains and monitors CMM equipment and instruments to
ensure proper function.
Marks items for acceptance or rejection and records inspection/test
data.
Operates basic measurement equipment: Caliper, Micrometer, Dial
indicator, Fixed Gages, Surface Plate equipment, digital
meters.
Interfaces with ERP system and basic computer utility programs.
Meets minimum productivity levels established by management and
maintained by department manager (productivity standards may vary
depending on various factors including part type, and employees may
be rated compared to others working on the same parts)
Adheres to all Department and Company policies and procedures

High School diploma or GED
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is
regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to
stand frequently; walk frequently; sit occasionally; reach with
hands and arms regularly; grasp or handle parts and small objects
and/or tools; must have good awareness of environment and exercise
good judgment while working near and monitoring
equipment/machines.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include those
required for reading, writing, typing and looking at small
parts.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and application of GD&T
Trains junior inspectors
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and 3D modeling and CAD
programs
Proficiency with CMM programming including using Model Based
Definition specific to curves and surfaces
Certified Quality Inspector a plus
Programming knowledge of Zeiss CMM using CALYPSO
Understands all CMM PM requirements
5 - 7 years CMM inspection and programming knowledge and/or
combination of relevant work experience, training and
education.
Pay Rate: $35.00+ hour
Monday to Friday, Day shift - hours of start time can be anywhere
from 6am to 8am (8hr shift + OT)
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on
several factors, including the candidate's education, work
experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications,
etc.
