Job Description CNC Production Team Lead – Lathes & Mill-Turn | Wilmington, MA Location: Wilmington, MA Company: Tecomet – Precision Manufacturing for Medical, Aerospace & Defense Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site | No Travel Required Pay: $38.00 – $52.00 per hour, based on experience \n \n About the Role\n Tecomet is seeking a hands-on CNC Production Team Lead with deep experience in CNC lathe machining and mill-turn operations to lead a production team in Wilmington, MA . If you're a top-tier machinist with strong programming skills, leadership ability, and a passion for continuous improvement, this is your chance to step up. \n This position involves programming , troubleshooting , and mentoring on a wide range of complex turning operations. You'll also help drive process improvements, support training, and ensure production goals are met across a high-mix, precision machining environment. \n Key Responsibilities\n ? Program, set up, and troubleshoot multi-axis CNC lathes and mill-turns ? Use CAD/CAM and G-code to develop and maintain advanced machining programs ? Create setup documentation and act as the go-to resource for shop floor support ? Lead daily production operations and mentor machinists in setup and operation ? Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on new process development ? Drive improvements in tooling, cycle times, and part quality ? Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives ? Champion Lean manufacturing and cross-training within your area \n ? Qualifications\n Required: \n \n 5 years in a precision machining environment \n 2 years CNC lathe programming (G-code, CAM software) \n Strong understanding of turning operations, tooling, speeds & feeds \n Experience supporting or leading shop floor production \n High school diploma or GED \n \n Preferred: \n \n Associate’s degree or technical training in machining or manufacturing \n ERP/MRP system familiarity \n Experience with continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or team leadership \n \n Skills & Attributes\n \n Expertise in multi-axis lathe and mill-turn machines \n Strong CAD/CAM and blueprint/GD&T interpretation skills \n Effective communicator and hands-on leader \n Passion for mentoring and developing others \n Highly organized and safety-focused \n \n About Tecomet\n Tecomet is a global leader in precision manufacturing for medical, aerospace, and defense industries .
