Job Summary - The Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and enhancing infrastructure and applications to support the growth of the business and to promote a highly available and stable on-prem and cloud computing environments. The Systems Engineer will contribute to the overall engineering, availability, and high level support of all existing on-prem and cloud server infrastructure. Job Responsibilities - - Manage, troubleshoot and support on-prem and cloud enterprise applications. Provide infrastructure team assistance with developing and maintaining expanding infrastructure as a code environment.Automate manual tasks using Windows or Linux scripting languages.Collaborate closely with developers and QA engineers to automate provisioning and streamline deployment processes.Provide 24x7 On-call Escalation Support (rotation-based / full week support)Author internal documentation, such as environment diagrams, installation/configuration documents, DR documents etc.Strict adherence to established policies and procedures as dictated by Information Security, Internal Audit, Technology Operations and Change management Job Requirements - 2+ years of experience of managing and troubleshooting 3 tiers web application running on IIS or apache web servers.2+ years of experience in Windows or Linux scripting (at least one of the following languages: PowerShell, Perl, Python or BASH)2+ years of experience of administering and troubleshooting Windows OS or 1+ years of administering Windows OS and 1+ years of administering Linux OS.1+ years working with systems configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Jenkin, Puppet, SCCM or Teraform (Ansible preferred). 1+ years of experience with supporting Amazon AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, ELB, RDS etc.Excellent troubleshooting skill with commitment to documentation.Demonstrate ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Must understand and champion the necessity of following established processes and proceduresMust understand and champion the criticality of change control procedures Additional Highly Desired Experience Experience in supporting and configuring load balancer such as Citrix, F5 or Nginx (F5 preferred).Using Ansible or Teraform to provision systems in both on-prem and AWS environments.Experience in supporting SDLC environment.Working knowledge of code repositories.Experience in administrating queuing technologies such as RabbitMQ, MSMQ or IBMMQ.Working knowledge of caching solution such as DynamoDB, Redis or nCache.Experience with enterprise scheduler such as as ActiveBatch.Experience in building and running microservices using Kubernetes or Docker.Ability to debug crash dump and stack traces.Green Dot Corporation is committed to achieving a diverse workforce and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any category protected by law. - We do not accept unsolicited resumes from employment agencies.
