Codes trauma diagnoses and procedures utilizing the ICD10 CM coding systems on an automated Los Angeles County Department of Health Services program and abstracts key data elements from patient records for data reporting purposes with a high degree of accuracy. This is a full time position requiring flexibility of hours and is eligible for overtime pay. Education: High School Graduate with ICD-10 approved coding certificate program training (current or completed within 12 months of hire). Experience/Training: A minimum of six months experience coding acute care medical records - one to two years preferred. Licenses/Certifications: ICD-10 Coding Course Completion Certificate (complete within 12 months of hire). Skills: Computer Data Entry skills, Word Processing, Excel and Powerpoint programs.
