Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY The IT Help Desk Support Contract
Role / Assistant IT Systems Engineer I is responsible for ensuring
the highest degree of uptime and support of all IT resources
including end-user technology, networking, and telecommunication.
The Assistant IT Systems Engineer I must possess excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills as well as be an effective
communicator with a capacity to learn and support new and evolving
technologies helping Pankow reimagine the building experience.JOB
SCOPE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Primary Accountabilities (5% Plan, 25%
Build, 70% Run)Provide help desk function, troubleshooting problems
on workstations, peripheral devices, telecommunications and network
connectivity at offices and jobsites, while documenting customer
interactions within service management tool or knowledge-based
documents to ensure service-level agreements are achieved.Assist in
preventative maintenance and optimization of network and
communications resources.Assist in configuration and deployment of
software and hardware pertaining to all workstations, peripheral
devices, servers, telecommunications, and network equipment.Assist
with compilation and maintenance of documentation for existing
technology resources, including hardware inventory, network
diagrams, and software licenses.Provide technical leadership and
serve as a liaison between end users and existing technology or
technology under development to ensure that design standards are
met.Identify opportunities for improvement in existing technology
and systems and processes.Perform frequent in-person workstation,
peripheral, and network equipment service at offices and remote
jobsites.Have access to reliable transportation to transport self
and any necessary equipment.Contribute to DTS documentation via
updates and submittals.Secondary AccountabilitiesAssist in
DTS-created training to disseminate technology knowledge.Enforce
policies for IT security and best
practices.QUALIFICATIONSEducation/TrainingBachelors degree in
Computer Information Systems or related
disciplineKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesWorking knowledge to configure
and troubleshoot:Microsoft Windows 10+Apple iOS, iPhones,
iPadsMicrosoft Office 365Microsoft Teams or equivalent
communication suiteDesktop/laptops and servers AV and video
conferencing equipmentFamiliarity with basic concepts to triage and
enhance functionality:Microsoft Intune, AirWatch MDM or equivalent
mobile device managementMicrosoft ServerMicrosoft DefenderActive
Directory including Group Policy ObjectsSANs and NASTCP/IP and
networking conceptsCisco AnyConnect VPNRouters, Switches, Wireless
Access PointsService management practices and tools such as
Freshservice, ServiceNow, Jira, Bomgar, GoToAssist or
equivalentStrong written and verbal communication skills and the
ability to interact productively with cross functional users and
teamsAbility to follow through and deliver complex projects to
successful completionOther knowledge, skills, and abilities to be
specifiedWork ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of relevant experience
supporting 100+ users requredExperience with an Architecture,
Engineering or Construction firm is a plus
