Self Pay Fertility Collector -

Description

• 
  
• This position supports the -collection and billing functions of patient accounting within the department.
  
• Assist with collection of old and current AR.
  
• Provide excellent patient-customer service.
  
• Make outbound calls to patients in attempt to collect open balances.
  
• Notify customers with high balances and mailing past-due notices.
  
• Review and reconcile patient ledger and balances.
  
• Be familiar with EOB's and Insurance correspondence.
  
• Follow up status of the payment.
  
• Itemize and print courtesy statements for patients.
  
• Other duties as assigned
  
  
  Requirements
  
  
  • 
    
  • Experience in OB/GYN and infertility billing and collections is preferred. -
    
  • Excellent customer service skills, Knowledge of EOB, ICD-10, CPT codes, and Accounts Receivable is required
    
  • Knowledge of soft collection techniques are required. Understanding of payer contract reimbursements is a plus
    
  • Patient account, self-pay experience required
    
  • Some billing experience is preferred, as candidates should know how to read an EOB (explanation of benefits)
    
  • Compassionate, understanding and patient centric
    
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred, data entry skills and typing of 40wpm.
    
  • High School dimpoma or equivelent required -
