to Banner and Salesforce.
Position Summary
The Student Success and Retention Coach partners with Program
Managers and Academic Advisors (PMAAs) to support first-year
students to make them aware of resources that are available to
support their academic, intercultural, vocational, and emotional
formation at Fuller, and to help them develop effective strategies
to successfully navigate and complete their studies at Fuller.
Responsibilities
- Help new students as they navigate their onboarding process.
Assist with the setup of the Fuller ID, two-step authentication,
completion of Universal Scholarship Application, and OR101. Connect
students with Fuller's Helpdesk team for tech support if
needed.
- Verify matriculation and inform PMAAs about new students who
have not registered yet.
- On behalf of PMAAs, connect students with institutional
resources including Student Council, Chaplains, Student Financial
Services, Ethnic Centers, Psychological and Family Services, and
Careers and Personal Development. Share tips on connecting with
faculty.
- In partnership with PMAAs, direct students to Fuller's Writing
Center for guidance and resources in every stage of the writing
process, and coaching on the topic of time-management and note
taking skills.
- Notify PMAAs of students who paused enrollment for more than
one quarter.
- Support the Executive Assistant, PMAAs, Associate Directors of
Academic Advising, and the Director of Academic Advising with
day-to-day operations in the Academic Advising department.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Recipient of, or in the progress of, a Master's degree in
theological education, psychology, higher education, or a related
field, and in good academic standing.
- Highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills, multicultural sensitivity, and
good conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to work within a diverse team and communicate
effectively with culturally and ethnically diverse
populations.
- Excellent oral, written, and critical thinking skills.
- Initiate, prioritize, and complete multiple tasks with
accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with staff,
faculty, and students, maintaining a warm and professional manner
with a positive employee relations and customer service
mindset.
- Good computer skills: including Apple, Microsoft Office,
Salesforce, Banner, and Google applications.
- Conversational Korean or Spanish preferred.
Additional Remarks:
- Must sign the FERPA release agreement.
- Must sign the confidentiality agreement.
- Must be willing to abide by Fuller Community Standards.
- Must be a current Fuller student eligible for Federal Work
Study.
Pay Scale:
- Wage range the Seminary expects to pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per
hour USD
