What You'll Do As a Claims Account Executive, you will foster a strategic partnership with both internal and external IMA clients to effective positive management of claims and to provide direction to reduce the total cost of risk. This position has the highest level of expertise and responsibility for the outcome of all claims matters. This role is directly involved in the sales process and client retention efforts. Responsibilites include but are not limited to: Interact professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person Maintain a proactive approach focusing on claim strategies and resolutions Advocate for the timely, optimal resolution of claim matters for our clients Communicate pertinent claim information timely to internal and external clients Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients Participate in presentations, including new business, RFPs (clients, TPAs), claim reviews, renewals, etc. Develops strong working knowledge of IMA computer systems/programs Assists Claims Manager with claim staff onboarding, training and development Develops and expands relationships at local, regional and national levels with carriers, TPAs, legal resources, consultants, etc. Expands knowledge and expertise in all lines of coverage Assists on Claim Projects, and other tasks as assigned Attends insurance related seminars including but not limited to continuing education classes Supports and demonstrates IMA's core values Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates You Should Have: 10 + years of prior Claims experience required Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent to a college degree System skills or aptitude Applied Epic, Carrier and TPA platforms preferred Experience with MS Office products preferred/required (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel) Exceptional technical skill and knowledge of coverage and claims handling Moderate travel required (25-50%) Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong mathematical and reasoning skills required Ability to discuss and solve claim problems with clients and insurance carriers #L1-AS1 This Job Description is not a complete statement of all duties and responsibilities comprising this position.
