discoveries in basic research and medicine.The product development
team is seeking a Mechanical Technician II to support all aspects
of product development across our system platform. Our team is
responsible for the entire hardware and integration engineering of
our platform and its transfer to manufacturing. You will contribute
or lead in performing all levels of assembly, testing, calibration,
final instrument integration, verification and/or validation
testing activities, etc. Your contributions will make an impact as
you work on a team to deliver innovated solutions empowering the
next evolution of discoveries. We are looking for self-motivated
individuals, who can work effectively independently as well in as
in cross-functional teams who pride themselves on communication. We
seek those who have strong fundamentals and are learners who not
only can identify but find solutions to challenging
problems.Support scientists and engineers in the fabrication,
testing, and qualification of Spatial Genomics' systems and all
supporting instrumentation, and also undertake relevant development
and repair projects, as guided by scientists and engineers.
Assemble, calibrate and qualify instrumentation and systems using
standard operating procedures, or as part of a development process.
Assist in SOP development. Read and interpret equipment schematics,
system network diagrams, plans, blueprints, electrical wiring
diagrams, recording charts, and instrument data. Understand the
workings of measurement devices in order to detect and correct
malfunctions and error. Be proficient with soldering and surface
mount methods, fabrication of cables and harnesses, hand and power
tools, and fittings and optical/mechanical assemblies.Assist in
maintaining a clean and organized work environment and well as
laboratory supplies and equipment as directed by supervisor, and
assist in or perform maintenance on lab equipment. Advise and
assist other technicians, and provide supervision when managers are
not present, or as necessary.Comply with all company regulations,
policies, safety guidelines and procedures.Requirements:
