Summary: Cleaning and Sterilization Specialist needed for Central Services and Support Department
Huntington Hospital, a nationally recognized healthcare leader, seeks a skilled Cleaning and Sterilization Specialist to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience with surgical instrumentation and a strong understanding of sterilization techniques.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize instruments and equipment from all areas of the facility
  
• Operate and maintain equipment and instruments
  
• Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
    
  • Minimum two years experience with surgical instrumentation
    
  • Minimum two years prior central service experience or Surgical Technology experience
    
  • Completion of a Sterile Processing Program or Surgical Technology Program
    
    
    Licenses and Certifications:
    
    • 
      
    • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
      
      
      Skills:
      
      • 
        
      • Basic computer skills
        
      • Surgical instrumentation knowledge
        
      • Ability to apply standard blood and body fluid precautions
        
      • Ability to demonstrate and perform steam and low-temperature sterilization
